The Green List Pathway
You must have a job for an occupation on the Green List and meet the list requirements to be eligible for a resident Visa
Straight to Residence
If you job is on the
Green List Tier 1:
You can apply for a Straight to Residence resident visa immediately
Other Requirements for a Straight to Residence Visa:
- The job or job offer must be by an Accredited Employer, genuine, full time, permanent or for at least 12 months (or six months for contractors), and meet the requirements on the Green List Tier 1
- Applicants must meet Residence class visa character requirements
- Applicants must meet Residence class visa health requirements
- Applicants must meet Residence class visa English Language requirements
- Principal applicants must be 55 years old or younger
Straight to Residence
If you job is on the
Green List Tier 2:
You can apply for residence after working for two years in New Zealand
Other Requirements for a Straight to Residence Visa:
- The job must be by an Accredited Employer, full time, permanent or for at least 12 months, and meet the requirements on the Green List Tier 2
- Applicants must meet Residence class visa character requirements
- Applicants must meet Residence class visa health requirements
- Applicants must meet Residence class visa English Language requirements
- Principal applicants must be 55 years old or younger
