Personal Requirements:

– [ ] Over 18 years old (or 16-17 with parental consent)

– [ ] In good health meeting the Acceptable Standard of Health (ASH)

– [ ] Not a close relative to your partner

– [ ] No significant character issues, including no history of domestic violence

Partner’s Eligibility:

– [ ] Currently holds a valid and applicable New Zealand visa, or is a current resident or citizen of New Zealand.

– [ ] Over 18 years old (or 16-17 with parental consent)

– [ ] Meets character requirements for visa sponsorship

– [ ] No significant character issues, including no history of domestic violence

If you are applying for a partnership residence visa:

– [ ] Has not sponsored another person on a partnership visa within the last 5 years

– [ ] Has not sponsored more than 1 other person for a partnership visa

– [ ] If previously entered on a partnership visa, has held residency in New Zealand for at least 5 years prior to sponsoring someone else 

Documentation to provide

– [ ] One acceptable photo for each applicant if applying online, or two photos if using a paper application.

– [ ] Copies of both applicants’ passports or certificates of identity.

– [ ] Copies of both applicants’ full birth certificates if applying online, or original full birth certificate or certified copies if using a paper application form (applicable for Partnership Residence Visa).

– [ ] Ensure all documents are dated and cover the required period.

Proof of a Genuine and Stable Relationship
