Skilled Positions for Residency in The Dairy Industry

According to Immigration New Zealand (INZ), from the 15th of February 2021, the Assistant Farm Manager and Herd Manager roles on dairy farms will be recognized as skilled positions and able to earn points towards New Zealand Residence.

These points which were formerly just for Farm Managers, indicate that if you are operating in either position you will be able to claim points for skilled work. If you have sufficient points you could submit your expression of interest (EOI) for residence.

Your eligibility to submit and Expression of Interest for Residence depends on your individual circumstances. Our team of Immigration Advisers recommend you get rid of the rumors and let us help you by doing a formal evaluation to explore your options.

Our process:

  • We will carefully review your personal and professional information.
  • We also provide you a clear view and accurate understanding of your existing eligibility.
  • Advise a pathway to follow in the future if you’re not currently qualified or eligible.
  • Offer a follow-up session to undergo the assessment analysis with you and resolve any kind of concerns or issues you might have.

INZ is still not doing any selection from this Expression of Interest pool yet and there’s no official date when the selection will be opening again but you can move promptly with your submission to make sure your eligibility is not affected by any future changes for e.g increasing points requirements.
